Terms of Service
Effective: 21 June 2026
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern the use of the RentTab rental management service (the Service) operated by Kómár János e.v. (registered seat: Kalász utca 15., 6100 Kiskunfélegyháza, Magyarország; tax no.: 66330679-2-23; registration no.: 33970685; email: support@renttab.hu; the Provider).
1. Subject and formation
RentTab is a web and mobile application supporting the rental workflow: contract and deposit handling, meter readings, utility tracking and settlement, and communication between the parties. The Service is a record-keeping and tracking tool — it does not accept card payments and does not replace legal, tax or accounting advice.
The contract is formed when you submit your registration and accept these Terms. The contract language is Hungarian (or English); it is not filed by the Provider and does not qualify as a written contract.
2. Registration and account
- Registration requires accurate data, which you must keep up to date.
- You must keep your credentials confidential and are responsible for activity on your account.
- The Service is free for tenants; landlord/manager features require a subscription (see section 3).
- You must be at least 18 and have legal capacity, or represent an organisation.
3. Subscription, fees and invoicing
- New landlord registrations include a 1-month free trial, during which paid features are available at no charge. You may cancel anytime before the trial ends with no obligation; if you do not cancel, the subscription continues automatically on the chosen (monthly or annual) plan and becomes payable.
- Landlord subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis; current prices and plans are shown on the pricing page.
- A subscription runs for the chosen period and, unless stated otherwise, renews automatically until cancelled.
- Fees are charged at purchase and on each renewal date. Invoices are issued electronically via Billingo.
- The Provider may change fees with reasonable prior notice by email or in-app; changes do not affect an already-paid current period.
- On late or failed payment, access to paid features may be suspended.
4. Withdrawal / cancellation
Consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. As RentTab is a digital service, if you expressly request that performance begin within those 14 days and acknowledge losing the withdrawal right for the part performed, that right may be limited accordingly.
You may cancel anytime in account settings or via support@renttab.hu; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and fees for the remaining period are not refunded unless required by law.
5. Your obligations
- Use the Service lawfully and respect others' rights.
- Only upload data (tenant data, photos, documents) you are entitled to process; you are responsible for its accuracy and lawfulness.
- Do not hack, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the Service.
6. Provider liability and service level
The Provider strives for continuous, secure operation but provides the Service “as is” without guaranteeing error-free, uninterrupted availability. Temporary downtime may occur due to maintenance, development or external causes.
To the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or damages arising from data you entered incorrectly. You must verify settlement results; the Service is an aid, and you remain responsible for legal/tax compliance.
7. Intellectual property
The RentTab software, code, design, trademarks and content are the intellectual property of the Provider (or its licensors). You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for the subscription term. Content you upload remains yours.
8. Data protection
See the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
9. Termination
You may delete your account anytime. The Provider may terminate, suspend or delete an account for serious breach of these Terms. After termination, data is deleted within statutory retention limits.
10. Changes to the Terms
The Provider may amend these Terms unilaterally, with prior notice of material changes. Continued use means acceptance of the amended Terms.
11. Miscellaneous and disputes
Hungarian law applies. Consumers may use the competent Hungarian conciliation board or the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). See the Imprint for authority and contact details.
